so what to do in this case then? because this is also written in hiragana... throw out the nokanji? and if the [gai1] is on ブリキ, would it then be listed first as a reading? |

Actually I think it's OK in those circumstances to drop the hiragana and no_kanji. That's done in some other cases such as 1396500/センチ. The original idea of the no-kanji was to enable a katakana-only version to go out in the (old) EDICT format, but I think that's less of an issue. |

another case where the nokanji is questionable. if they're ateji for a foreign word and the foreign word is written in katakana, it seems that the nokanji shouldn't be there |
