Comments: | See comments on 養分. They all apply here(pretty sure the terms are synonymous). eijiro has some more fanciful glosses under this term, but I don't think they negate the point. I had to look up what "nutriment" means. I think "nutrient" is actually the correct term in this case. I like this eijiro gloss: 栄養分を強化したパン fortified bread Obviously, it was "nutrients" that were added, not "nutrition". Looking at the eijiro examples, we could certainly add, for example, an entry "to nourish" 栄養分を与える 1265 But I don't think that makes 栄養分 into "nourishment" (or nutrition). |
