native informer says "保育園の先生". which doesn't trump the kokugos, but gives a hint about how it's actually used. I don't think children's nurse is right, and that the teacher gloss should go back in, even if it doesn't align eiththe kokugos. |

Despite what gg5 says, "teacher" is incorrect according to obunsha's kokugo. I think this needs some more research.
obunsha: 幼稚園教諭は含まない。
gg5: 幼稚園の保母 a kindergarten teacher.
Some of the other kokugos say that 保母 is dated.
smk: 女性の「保育士」の旧称。
sankoku: 女性の保育士の、もとの呼び名。
