Comments: | >> If we [sK] 谷まる, I think all instances of 谷まる should be [sK] across all entries, Those entries can be handled as individual cases. Here 谷まる gets tiny n-gram counts and seems not to be in any kokugo (the usual criterion for [rK]). |

Comments: | I'm fine with [rK] in spite of the statistics - it is "correct" - but whatever you decide. Note: statistics for 極 and 谷 should probably not be directly compared, as they are not generally considered interchangeable in correct usage. (谷 = 窮 only, it seems). There are modern examples of 谷まる in yourei, it appears here and there online, but is indeed rare. If we [sK] 谷まる, I think all instances of 谷まる should be [sK] across all entries, including 進退極まる and 進退これ谷まる. If 谷 is removed from 進退これ谷まる, that entry should probably just be deleted. |
