| Comments: | The current translation is from wrong point of view. This what the person who has decided to stay inside does. The orginal translation is probably taken from プログレッシブ和英中辞典. It seems the translator has looked at only the English example sentences (1. "was besieged" 2. "were confined", but also "stay at home"), but hasn't looked at the original Japanese sentences (1. 籠城を強いられた 2. 籠城した). I don't know the word for this in English. Maybe it's someting like "fortify" or "dig in". |
