I guess that in an "abundance of caution" the tag can go back. Yes, it's really the nasty 穢多 ateji that's a problem. I see my Google keyboard offers it as a choice for えた. |

It certainly is sensitive because the descendants of the eta live on. It's not disconnected from the present.
No IME will bring up 穢多 for the input えた. |

I don't think something this old can be sens. But it probably shouldn't be tagged as derog either. It was an official term; the kanji made it derogatory.
