Comments: | Better to use "normal" writing conventions so that text-analysis systems can extract information without doing special stuff. Your "to draw (e.g. criticism, attention, praise)" is fine. |

Comments: | Original sense 2 sounds like it's all negative, not so according to refs; 浴びる also take positive things like 称賛 and 喝采 as object. p/s: Can one format the gloss like this: "to have <abuse, praise etc.> heaped upon", where the words in the angled brackets are example of objects accepted by verb? |

Comments: | There is nothing really wrong with 光を浴びる (transitive) having an intransitive English translation. What's transitive in one language may not be in another. |

Comments: | Are the definitions "to bathe" and "to shower" actually the "right way round"? According to this definition, AはBを浴びる ought to mean "A bathes B", but I suspect it might actually mean "A bathes in B", in fact more like "B bathes A". Also, being very picky, "to bask in the sun" is not a proper definition for a transitive verb. |
