Personally, I find x-refs to contrasting or complementary terms more useful than ones to synonyms unless the referent term is very rare/obscure. In this case, I am following Daijirin and Meikyo in x-reffing to 朝日. |

No change to the above. I am wondering if you would consider a cross-reference between the above and the following:-
夕焼け(P); 夕焼(io) 【ゆうやけ】 (n) sunset; (P)
It maybe also that in "夕焼け", the "sunset" should be given a better description to distinguish it from a setting sun of any ordinary day, e.g., describe it as a deep red sunset or a bright sunset with red sky. |
