"again and again" means something happens now and it repeats or is expected to repeat multiple times in the future, with no real end in sight - that is the focus.
matamoya says that something that has previously happened happens now and says nothing about the future. you could say the focus is in the past
"again and again" is incredibly misleading to have for this reason |
