I doubt the kanji similarity in 不虞 and 不慮 is coincidental...
Many n-grams are from this one kotowaza-looking string(慮 maybe should not be substituted, but google returns book results for 不慮を待つ者は勝つ):
不虞を待つ者は勝つ
The xref, by percentage, might lean more strongly adj-no than this term.
I don't know the reason for the "emergency" gloss in the first place. Certainly "unexpected negative event" is kind of emergency-like. But if "emergency" hadn't been here, I'd have seen to reason to add it based on the kokugos. |
