Needed? - possibly not. Useful? - probably.
My concern is more that the entry is a bit cluttered. We separate の from 乃/之 to simplify things, but it's harder in this case. I guess if we've lived with the entry like this since 2014, it can stay.

Is the "fu" and "fuu" note really needed?

i'm comfortable with keeping it and all other chinese readings for numbers. i'm not sure it should be merged in here though. perhaps a separate entry for:
二;2
アル
[1][num][lsrc=chi:"er"]
  two
=
although that violates 2/3 it is much tidier

広辞苑 confirms this: "中国語の二(に)". 大辞林 too: "〔中国語〕ふたつ。に。"
  Comments:
I think these are tell us 二 is read "アル" in Chinese. Do we really want the 二/アル combination going out on that basis? Will we be adding the Korean readings of hanja?
I feel that Chinese-derived readings which have no currency in Japanese, e.g. don't appear at all in 漢和字典, should not be included.
