Back to my position, but I tried to add glucose.

  Comments:
i don't think any of these additions are necessary, and i prefer this entry the way it was, which matches the way it is given in gg5

i don't see any evidence in any dictionary that this is anything other than a noun and a kanji that happens to be used rather frequently in compounds (i.e., meikyo has a 造 sense for it). we don't list 造 senses in jmdict

The glosses in sense 2 are a mix of (n)
glosses and (pref) glosses.

I'm not sure that 糖 is used as a prefix that way in Japanese. I can see it being used in compounds, but not as a prefix as such. "glyco-" etc. certainly are in English, but I suspect there's only one sense in Japanese. Possibly all it needs is an "n-pref" on sense 1. What do others think?
