      Strongly recommend splitting ちょう and はらわた.  It seems like 腸 = ちょう = a medical term "intestines"
      
      はらわた, probably [uk], seems like a more colloquial term for a person's innards, and is used metaphorically much like "guts" is used in English (as seen in the many はらわた expressions at eijiro).
      
      sankoku gives *4* senses for はらわた, and exactly 1 for ちょう (消化器の... ie. person's intestines).
