Daijr 3rd ed has "「晨」とも書く" for the "morning" sense of あした. I don't see it in the other refs. It's probably not needed.
Meikyo and sankoku tag 朝/あした as〔雅〕. I think this alone justifies a separate entry. I'll draft one.
I think the arch sense can be dropped. |

I can't find any examples/references of 晨 being used as a stand-alone word with the reading あした. I suggest dropping it. It will simplify the entry. |
