I just happened to notice that the definition of the word doesn't actually match its usage in the example sentence.  The example translates it as "to be striking".

I thought you might want to add that to the definition in the dictionary.

Also, from what I can tell elsewhere in the dictionary, when a word is both and adjective and a noun, the definition includes the adjectival form, which here would be "vivid", but it's not included.

Again, I thought you might want to add it.
