Comments: | I raised this on the Honyaku list. No-one supported the せつ reading. I could move it over to the 切り entry, but 切 alone is "io" there. Maybe best just to leave a note here. It's all a bit marginal. |

Comments: | gg5 does have this sense 2. i previously rejected it. are we sure this is actually pronounced せつ on a switch? i always thought it was きり without the okurigana. obviously i could be wrong though |

Comments: | To be frank I think せち would be better off in its own "arch" entry and cross-referenced here where appropriate. The overlap (according to Daijirin) is not that precise and all the refs are 源氏物語/宇津保物語/etc. |

Comments: | as you suspected, this should be handled by adding 切 to the entry for きり as [io]. i will add it |

Comments: | This could be slightly contentious, as the reading is technically exactly the same as 切り (to the best of my knowledge). As a result, perhaps it'd be better served as an alternative kanji there? I'm not sure the proper procedure for such. |
