| Comments: | Responding 7 years later to Rene: "scriptures" by itself usually refers to the Bible e.g. Oxford Languages definition: 1) the sacred writings of Christianity contained in the Bible. 2) the sacred writings of a religion other than Christianity. MW also places the Bible alone in its first sense I feel "sacred scripture" makes it more obvious it's not specifically about Christianity/the Bible.
