The example sentence given for 人払い shows a complete different word.
Sample Sentence:
この小切手は持参人払いだ。 This check is payable to the bearer.
In the sample sentence, the string of characters 人払い show up as part of a
composite of 持参人 and 払い.
Also, on a separate note, the nuance of 人払い is clearing out people to make room
for an important person passing through or clearing out a room of people for a
private conversation. Didn't edit the entry since technically it's not mistaken, just a
bit incomplete. |
