I think the amendment is kind of problematic because while 
many native speakers will assume that 人身事故 refers to a 
suicide, it is actually used for all kinds of traffic 
accidents resulting in personal injury or death, whether 
intentional suicide or not. It's not a euphemism, it's an 
umbrella term.
