Comments: | In its まさか entry, GG5 has the example: 「まさかこれ全部僕がやるんじゃないですよね?」「そのまさかだよ」 "Surely this isn't all for me to do, is it?"―"It surely is." Yes, I think it's worth an entry. |

Comments: | A couple times now, I've run across dialogue in a book where one person says "まさか" and the other person replies "そのまさかだ"... an exchange like "No way!"/"Way!" or "No!"/"Yes!" or "It can't be!"/"It is!". I also found it at the three reference links. I thought of adding an entry for そのまさかだ, but I didn't know how to phrase the meaning... basically it's the opposite of whatever the other person is using まさか for, but I can't figure out how to generalize it. So if you have an idea, and you think it's worth adding an entry, you might do so. |

Comments: | OK, I'll make it "arch". |
