This is also used to mean "hijacking (a social media, etc. account)" aka "my twitter was hacked". Should we 
include this as a separate tense, or make sense 2 broader? Or just leave it out?

Certainly not within the dictionary. It would be stretching things to have conjugations listed separately. In a morphologically heavy language like Japanese, where most of the verbs are very regular, I can't see any need for it.
I could potentially do it in WWWJDIC, but I have chosen not to. The exception is in the Text Glossing, where it is done by invoking rules. If you put in "乗っ取れる", it says:
Possible inflected verb or adjective: (potential or imperative)
乗っ取る 乗っ取る(P); 乗っとる 【のっとる】 (v5r,vt) to capture ...
I think that's about as far as one can go.
