I'll reject this addition and the others based on Jim's comment on the "sometimes as ㍍" suggestion for the メートル entry:
"Those odd Unicode glyphs cause heaps of problems. I'm still ducking."
Let's decide how we want to format era/period dates on the mailing list. |

We didn't include ㍍ as a kanji for the メートル entry (and that character doesn't even have a [環境依存] tag in my IME, unlike these
guys).
Robin (in a rejected branch): "㍼ is not a kanji character. I don't think it should be included.
Regarding date formats, could we maybe make an exception for eras? To me, 1912.7.30-1926.12.25 looks far better."
I've taken the date format thing up on the mailing list. |

It was my impression that some other Unicode characters often used in Japanese writing also got a pass, like ・. Is that not the case? |

There's one for 平成 too: ㍻. But my IME says 環境依存 like it does for smileys and certain other symbols. I don't think this is a kanji. |

The XXXX.XX.XX format makes sense when it's two dates, but this is current policy. |

we have 8 entries that contain 昭和 / Showa.
They all use the form Showa.
Should we leave them as they are? |
