I think "summoning" is good to have. See for example 召喚魔術. Not uncommon in fiction.

None of the kokugos have 召喚 and 招喚 merged except for iwanami's kokugo.
It seems 招喚 doesn't have the legal nuance and refers to the general sense of calling upon someone.
They seem similar enough to me to be merged, but it could also be its own entry.
