I had the same thought but Wikipedia's article on strabismus starts with "Strabismus, also called crossed eyes among other terms".
I agree it could be confusing though so probably best to leave it out.

not appropriate at all, IMO.  strabismus also applies to "wall eyes" (i.e., external strabismus), which is the opposite of crossed eyes

also, 'squint' is potentially misleading

I think "crossed eyes" is fine for a noun gloss.

I would like to add the gloss "cross-eyed".
("squint" has other meanings besides the one intended here.
"strabismus" is a rather technical term.)
But it seems you are not supposed to mix POS in the glosses.
However, "cross-eye" or "cross-eyedness" do not seem very natural.
Is it OK to add "cross-eyed"?
