Comments: | The counts for 似た are almost as high as the combined counts for 似ている and 似てる. I think the note could be misleading. The preferred form depends on how the word is being used (e.g. where in the sentence it appears). |

Comments: | Most of the examples for 似る use 似ている or variants, which is not surprising since the n-grams show they are about 50 times more common. Over half the Tanaka examples for 似る use 似ている. At the very least there should be a note, but we could even have 似ている/似てる entries. |
