Comments: | Edit + split proposal Add 止まる (and kana とどまる) as ok spelling for “be limited to” – it’s what’s given in GG5, and I have a newspaper article with it written as とどまる. On a different note, might we consider splitting とまる and とどまる ? They’re closely related, but seem sufficiently different in use that GG5, 大辞林 and 広辞苑 all separate them. Further, they have a *lot* of meanings (very polysemous), so to the extent that we can separate them, it would make the individual entries a bit shorter and clearer. |
