The Japanese is really just "the fourth/4th (day)". We're adding "of the month" for clarity. But I'm not too bothered either way.
I don't think we need both forms on the same sense, at least not for sense 2. |

I quite agree on sense 2. For sense 1 I'd prefer having "fourth day of the month" as well, as to me it is not the same pattern as "4th March"/"March 4th".
I'll leave it for now, and approve it and reopen it for a bit. |

How about using words just for sense 2 (for one to ten)?
"four days", etc. looks better to me but days of the month are typically written using numbers (i.e. "4th March"/"March 4th" is more common than "fourth of March"/"March fourth"). |

So the question is if we should do it with letters up until the
tenth(?) and then do the rest as numerals? or do them all with
numerals or letters. I prefer using numerals for all of them, for
consistency. |

but if you look at 17th vs seventeenth, 17th
is much more common. |

4日 is much more common than 四日. This goes
for all of these "days of the month" entries.
Can I change the order on all of them? |
