Comments: | it's in daijisen: 相当な程度に達しているので、ほどほどのところで終わってほしいさま。「―に雨もやんでほしい」「冗談は―でやめてくれ」 and nikkoku: かなりの程度までいっているので、もうほどほどにしたいさま。このくらいでおわりにしたいさま。 and I'm sure all the others too, these two just spell it out properly. it's just that jmdict sense 3 is not glossed very helpfully. "gone on for long enough" could work |
