I'm not sure why GG5 has those glosses. The word isn't defined that way in the kokugos.

交互の 〈相互の〉 mutual; 《文》 reciprocal; 〈交替の〉 alternate
交互に mutually; 《文》 reciprocally; 〈交替して〉 alternately; by turns
GG5:
交互に 〔互いに〕 mutually; reciprocally; one after the other; 〔交替に〕 alternately; interchangeably; by turns
  Comments:
I see we removed "mutually" and "reciprocally" from our 交互に a few years ago.

  Comments:
A user asked us to add "mutual" as a definition for 交互 on WaniKani. However, "mutual" and "reciprocal" are better represented by 相互 and 相互的な, not 交互. 交互 actually means "by turns" or "in turn," where one person does something after another alternately, often repeating the pattern.

We should lead with "alternate". I'm not convinced that "mutual" and "reciprocal" are even correct.
I think the note should be kept. We have similar notes on other entries. It's good for showing why the x-ref is there.
