覧る seems to apply especially to our sense 2, but it is very rare.
meikyo: 「覧」はひととおり目を通す意で「新聞[回状]を覧る」などと使うが、今は一般に「見」でまかなう。
shinmeikai also has it.

Sense 4 seemed quite pointless (covered by sense 1) so I've replaced with a new sense (so as not to mess up the sentences). |

I don't like "conative" much, and in any case I suspect it's forming a conative structure rather than following a conative verb. |

the "aconative verb" in the note on meaning 6 is a little bit
confusing - the term only gets 8 hits on bing, might there be
a better way of phrasing it? |
