Comments: | I don't think the constituent parts are just kanji - 月並み is a compound of two words, 魂柱 isn't. Surely "leg-pulling" is just as idiomatic in usage as "pulling one's leg"? |

Comments: | a single word cannot be an idiom. the tag for [id] says it is defined as "idiomatic expression". if an entry doesn't take [exp] then it can't take [id] correct restriction is つきなみ; also applies to 月次 with that reading |
