i don't think english etymology is within the scope of the project. japanese wiki, NCBI Taxonomy, ITIS Catalogue of Life, as well as my english dictionaries all have 'cumquat" as various species of Fortunella. english wiki seems to be jumping the gun on its grouping of cumquat spp. |
