sankoku has only the "house arrest", but words it as "家などで"(i.e., not only one's home).  Reverso quickly turned up "confined to his home city"

I've split [1] and [2], though the kokugos cram them together.  We've left out the unifying nuance "for a period of self-reflection on one's wrongdoings", presumably before returning to society. (this is also apparent in the kanji).

[3] seems possibly arch. (not in sankoku).
