A pay day or payday is a specified day of the week or month when one is paid...
  Comments:
[spec1] maybe?

This item has no attached statistics at all, so maybe the parsers considered this 給料+日. But it's quite common.

My own intuition is that "payday", one word, is taking over. (old movie titles are two words, new ones are one word....) Wikipedia headword is two words, but twitter seems 5-to-1 for "payday" on googits.
