Comments: | This word is kind of big in software development, as a result of the word being popularised as the name of the boards used in Toyota's just-in-time manufacturing system. So much so that, for most people in the industry these days, it's known as "kanban development" (i.e. it's part of the English lexicon now), so it doesn't seem unreasonable to put the transliteration as a meaning. This is merely a suggestion, and I'm not married to the idea, but it would be neat to search for "kanban" (much like you can sushi or another loanword) and find this entry. |
