* not hay (this is animal feed; this is thatching material)
* specifically grasses and sedges
* reword technical definition (Poaceae (Gramineae) = grasses, Cyperaceae = sedges)
The “various gramineous grasses (e.g. eularies)” gloss doesn’t seem very helpful (it’s technical, “gramineous” is more confusing than “Gramineae”, which is generally called Poaceae nowadays, AFAICT, and I have no idea what eularies is – presumably a genus? – we’re the main web reference for that word). |
