| Comments: | I think these glosses are a better fit. Apparently "joint-stock company" isn't strictly correct. Also, 株式会社 aren't necessarily public. The Japanese equivalent of a "limited liability company" is a 合同会社. I think "kabushiki kaisha" should be kept (if only to explain the "KK" gloss). There are a few Japanese companies that use it in their official English names. |
