gg5 also has this with no split
  Comments:
Jim: I was waiting for René's answer.

Rene:If you decide against the split, then there must be something to indicate that this does refer merely to professional prostitutes. gg5 has "woman of loose morals" and "lewd woman" in its definition.

The split comes from Daijirin: 多情で浮気な女 and 淫売婦 遊女.

The first meaning suggests a woman of loose morals who would have many extramarital relationships, not a prostitute.

nikkoku is even more explicit: 移り気で男女関係にだらしのない女。また、男を迷わせる女。
