Not really sure. Certainly the Tanaka sentences trend that way, but when I look at the results from Reverso the majority of examples for 一月 are for a period of a month.

I don't have a ref (apart from examples: https://ejje.weblio.jp/content/ひと月) but I think ひと月 is more common and should lead. |
