The kokugos lead with 成す. They also say that 為す is only used for the "do" sense.

daijr combines 成す・為す, but none of the refs combine 生す with either. All refs only give 生す as "to have a child", and it's not [arch]. I also don't see the "to have a child" sense in the 為す or 成す entries in any ref. Proposing a split. |
