Interesting term. The kokugos anachronistically talk about shirts with non-removal collars and cuffs. nikk 
notes that the term is used in western Japan instead of 「ワイシャツ」. Some sites say that the terms are 
sometimes used to distinguish shirts worn under student uniforms vs suits.
