The context where I saw this (should have posted it, sorry) was the now infamous 1995 interview with Cornelius (Keigo Oyamada)
about bullying, see above. I thought Oyamada's use of "epoch-making" signified the word can be used in a quite different way from
how it's used in Englishand I read it as just meaning "extraordinary." Looking at it now, I guess it could be read more literally,
that there was a "before ●● and after ●●"? |

Do we need a second gloss here? "epoch-making" and "extraordinary" are not synonyms. I don't think "epoch-making" has a synonym. |
