Comments: | I think it's best to think of おなかがぺこぺこ/腹がぺこぺこ as set phrases. ぺこぺこ always refers to hunger. I don't think "empty" would be a helpful translation here. |

Comments: | I did mean "hungry", because the subject is usually (always?) お腹 - お腹がペコペコ. You don't say your stomach is hungry. "empty (of stomach)"? |

Comments: | I assume you meant to write something other than "hungry". I don't think we should use adjective glosses for sense 3. Only daijs and nikk have it as an adjective. Sense 1 is 形動 in the kokugos. I think adj-na is fine. It's just almost always predicative. I don't think the x-refs are needed. |
