- 子供に甘い父親ばかりで, かつての父の権威は失墜し続けている. Looking around, it seems that paternal authority continues to decline, as fathers show nothing but indulgence toward their children.

Interesting that GG5 does a longish subentry for it within a lower sense of 甘い. I think it's worth keeping.
