I've noticed in the link above says this : 古くは膝鎧(ひざよろい)と称した。And I've noticed that 膝甲 both has the reading for はいだて and for ひざよろい. Don't know if the ひざよろい reading should be added here or as a separate entry including the 膝鎧 kanji, so I'll only mention about it to you guys. |

the meaning for this entry seems wrong, at least according to the reference I'm using. In the first reference link it says: 佩楯とは、太ももと膝を守るための防具で、エプロンのように腰で縛り、左右の太ももを覆うようにして装着するもの so it covers the thighs, spanning from the lower back to the kneecap, it doesn't reach down to the shin. The shin guards are called 臑当 |
