I'm no good at identifying verb forms, but I saw a comment (refs) say 下二段, which I think makes this v2s-s  (and supports [arch])

speaker is a lord, setting is medieval.

This is a formal/literary/arch variant of the causative of 取る->取らせる, which of course we don't have and can't xref. Used 与える as clues for a potential gloss, but maybe other terms would be more appropriate.

I recently saw a similar [note] on the entry for せん: "equiv. of しない".
