smk: 昔、武人が矢を入れて背負った武具。〔源平合戦以後は、やなぐいは朝廷の神事や儀式に用いられ、武士はエビラを用いた〕
daijs: 矢を入れ、右腰につけて携帯する道具。奈良時代から使用され、状差し状の狩胡(かりやなぐい)と幅の広い平胡(ひらやなぐい)とがある。

As it's in GG5, sankoku and smk, I think hist is probably better than arch here. The word is used today to refer to a specific type of quiver.
"post-Nara period" doesn't include the Nara period.

Daijr/s, smk, sankoku all have やなぐい marked as jukujikun.
ころく is also in daijir/s and kanjipedia.

smk also has 箙 as a kanji form, but it's not in other refs. Sounds like it's usually "えびら." I don't think we need that form here.
