| Comments: | The very first definition provided for 彼岸 in Japanese dictionaries is "向こう岸。対岸。", meaning "the other/opposite shore" basically. This is why "Beyond Good and Evil" is called 善悪の彼岸, with 彼岸 meaning "beyond". |
