We've started hiding 無 forms (and also 御- forms) in all expressions when they're not exceptionally common. The assumption is that users will recognize and understand that ない is 無い (and that お- and ご- are 御-).
Try an advanced search for entries containing 無 that are tagged sK. |

why hide "余命いくばくも無い" when it's as common as "余命幾許もない" (in fact, it has 1 more hit)? |

I could go either way, and maybe we could have whatever seems more natural as a translation.
Here "having" seems fine. I'll close it to shorten the list and reopen for more discussion,
if needed. |

That's definitely the case for regular adjectives but I've noticed that most of these [exp,adj-i] entries (with glosses that start with verbs) use the infinite form. Or at least the older ones do.
I'm also not sure which form I prefer. |

I thought the (written or unwritten) rule was to avoid infinitives outside of verb/vs definitions (and then always as "to ..."). I'm just
aiming for (what I thought were) consistency though, if we're discussing defining policy better, I'm not sure what my preference would be. |

We're probably not consistent with this but don't we typically use the infinitive form for these sort of entries?
I thought infinitives were favoured over gerunds because the expressions aren't nouns. Of course, they're not verbs either, but they're translated as verb phrases. (e.g. "父は余命いくばくもない" - "My father has a short time left to live"). |
