Comments: | According to meikyo, 捕まえる can be used for sense 2. The n-grams support this. smk has 掴まえる for all senses. Happy to drop the restrictions. I don't think 掴まえる should be rK. In certain contexts it's not so rare relative to other forms. |

Comments: | I'm wondering about the restrictions. I know they are in the kokugos, but considering how rare those forms are I suspect they are historical now. The current restrictions on sense 2 mean the 2/3 rule indicates the entry should be split. GG5 and ルミナス use kana for examples for all senses. |
